#childrenofblubworld - Akash Manoj

Updated: Oct 19, 2019

Akash Manoj, the Indian Cardiology Researcher, Inventor, Innovator and Child Prodigy, is a Class 10 student from the state of Tamil Nadu, who has developed a skin patch that can detect 'Silent heart attacks'. Akash was inspired after his grandfather, who looked healthy, but suddenly collapsed following a heart attack.

He invented a skin patch which can be attached to the ear or the wrist, which releases ‘positive’ electrical impulse that attracts negatively charged protein released by the heart to signal a heart attack.

He has been awarded with the ‘National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement 2017’. The child has also been honored, under the Innovation Scholars In-Residence Programme, with a stay at the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a guest of the former President Pranab Mukherjee.
