Shahil Dey from Kamrup district in Assam, a Chess prodigy won a Silver Medal in National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement 2017. Recently the young lad also bagged a silver medal in the Under 12 Rapid category of the 15th Malaysian International Chess Festival 2018 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
