Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Highlights from the 40th World Teen Parliament Session


Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and namaste!

The 40th session of the World Teen Parliament brought together some of the world’s most passionate young minds alongside influential global leaders, creating a vibrant dialogue on youth leadership, advocacy, and social change. With participants from over 35 countries, the session showcased how teens across the globe are not only dreaming of a better world—they're building it.



🌍 The World Teen Parliament: A Global Movement for Youth Empowerment

Launched in 2022, the World Teen Parliament has grown from a bold idea into a powerful global platform. Its mission: to connect, train, and empower teenagers to lead societal transformation. From a handful of nations to a coalition spanning continents, WTP now proudly partners with global institutions like UNESCO and Save the Children.

The 40th session marked a milestone with keynote speeches from global leaders, interactive Q&As, and powerful challenges issued to the next generation of changemakers.



🎤 Keynote Highlights: Lessons in Leadership from the Frontlines


🇳🇬 Hon. Kabir Tukura – Nigeria

A young trailblazer in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Hon. Kabir Tukura inspired with his stories of mentorship and youth empowerment:

  • Mentorship in Governance: Through Nigeria’s youth-mentorship programs, teens shadow parliamentarians, gaining real-time political experience.

    “Generate ideas, campaign with conviction, and collaborate—your voices matter.”

  • Access to Education: His Back to School campaign delivers scholarships, tech access, and hygiene support to marginalized youth.Challenge to Teens: Design policy ideas to protect and uplift young activists worldwide.



🇬🇾 Dr. Vindhya Persaud – Guyana

Minister of Human Services and Social Security in Guyana, Dr. Vindhya Persaud shared her journey of inclusive governance and innovation:

  • The WIN Program: Trained 15,000+ women in skills like entrepreneurship and tech to boost financial independence.

    “Empowerment begins with opportunity—especially for girls and women.”

  • Youth Influencers: Her program mobilizes teens to tackle bullying and promote self-esteem in schools.Challenge to Teens: Launch a global strategy for youth representation and violence-free communities.
